stash- its about life man! i mean, yanked on my tunic and dangled my
stash....its so obvious

all humor aside, i believe phish's lyrics are coming around more and more to
reveal trey's views on life, the world, the fans, and the quote-unquote
"scene." this is done through tom marshall --but as we saw with robert hunter,
sometimes a friend, an external viewer, can say more about what you feel and
how you act than you can yourself. the way in which we come upon realizing
what a song means has alot to do with our situation in life, so there is no
way to truly know the meaning of the song.  But with that said, it is awesome
to see other people's views on what it means to them, as long as it's not
presented as fact.
