* jam (four minutes total) started as a feedback-based thing, as in the
beginning of Also Sprach Zarathustra. Fishman pulled into the drum beat of
ASZ, but Mike layed down the bass line of Split, and that's where they
finally headed instead.

** Trey ended Split Open & Melt with a speech thanking the Phish fans for
being so cool and sharing the values of peace and love. He made several 
mentions to the 'shit' that went down at Woodstock over the weekend, and
was very passionate about the fact that the band is surrounded and apart of
such an amazing scene...

by music! :)
